For best optical character recognition scanner and task automation
According to estimates by Grand View Research, a market research firm, the market was valued at $12.56 billion in 2023 and is expected to grow at a CAGR of 14.8% from 2023 to 2030.
ARGOS Identity is also keeping pace with this growth, providing user-centric services that work with various document formats and languages.
We have released a demo version of Textify, which can interpret and verify documents based on their format!
Today, I will introduce ARGOS’ Textify and show you how to use the service.
How does Textify recognize and extract text?
What is Textify (OCR Scan)?
Textify (previously known as Document Analyzer) was developed and released through continuous improvement! Textify offers a more advanced service that goes beyond simple OCR technology.
It’s a solution that extracts text from unstructured documents and accurately matches and processes this text for responses.
Textify is particularly useful for companies that receive documents externally and need to input extracted values directly into their systems. It can be applied across various types of documents, such as invoices, medical records, business licenses, contracts, arrival notices, job applications, balance certificates, and proof of address.
How does Textify recognize and extract text?
ARGOS ' Textify operates as shown in the image above! The demo version of Textify will be available directly on the ARGOS website starting in December.
To use it, simply insert a document into the area labeled “Drag and drop files here or click to upload” on the left. In just a few seconds, the document is processed, and the extracted text appears on the Preview screen on the right.
Notice how the extracted text includes the number “6284006” as seen in the document?
Furthermore, users can retrieve different data from the same document by applying various templates, allowing them to adapt the output to multiple needs. Shall we explore this feature together?
Below, you can see the same document being used. However, different data appears depending on whether the General Invoice template or the Proof of Address template is selected.
The General Invoice template displays the Issue Date, while the Proof of Address template displays Issue Age data instead.
In a Proof of Address document, “issue age” refers to the amount of time that has passed since the document was issued. This item is typically used to verify the recency of identification or address proof documents.
When a financial institution or another organization requests an address certificate, it often must be issued within a certain timeframe (e.g., within the past 3 months). Commonly, only documents issued within the past 6 months are accepted, and “issue age” serves as a standard to confirm this. In other words, it’s data that doesn’t apply to invoices.
If a document doesn’t require additional interpretation, simply select the template that matches the document type and proceed with text recognition.
If a different interpretation is needed, you can choose an alternative template to obtain the desired results.
Forget about outdated OCR technology!
ARGOS Textify’s unique advantage lies in its simplicity: users only need to specify a document or template.
Once you decide on the template you need, you can begin using it within just a few days. A key feature is its ability to recognize text instantly, regardless of document format or language, without needing prior data training.
Furthermore, once text recognition is complete, an AI-generated summary is also available by default.
We’re committed to continuous service improvements, incorporating user feedback and enhancements.
