ARGOS provided an automated KYC system for MapleStory Universe. Although largely automated, manual review may be required in some cases, which can affect processing time. The verification starts on mobile and is linked via QR code from the desktop.
Initially, only Level 1 is activated. Level 2 will be introduced after system stabilization.
Supporting Global Compliance with Sanctioned Region Blocking
MapleStory Universe serves users across the globe. Therefore, it must comply with international sanctions and regulations. ARGOS automatically detects and blocks users from restricted regions.
Upon KYC verification, ARGOS performs automated screening based on OFAC, U.S. Department of Commerce, SDN lists, and other global sanction databases. Users attempting verification with an ID or IP address from the following regions may be blocked:
→ Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Russia, South Korea, Syria, Ukraine, United States, etc.
In such cases, access to MapleStory Universe may be restricted. Users should ensure their IP address is correctly reflected or contact ARGOS support for assistance.
